Colonial History of Eastern European Countries:
Belarus: The country that is now Belarus was originally settled by the indigenous baltic tribes that inhabited the area during 400-600 A.D. However during the 5th century the land was taken over by Slavic tribes neighboring the land. The country would later become part of the Kievan Rus during the 9th century, which would later become Russia.
Bulgaria: The land of Bulgar was settled by the original residents of the Bulgar Tribes led by Asparkuh the first Bulgarian emperor who created the Bulgarian Empire. The creation was commemorated by a peace treaty with the Byzantine Empire.
Czech Republic: The Czech Republic was originally inhabited by the indigenous Slavic Tribes that were near the Black Sea during the sixth century. These Slavic Tribesmen moved westward into Bohemia. The Duchey of Bohemia would be formed during the 9th century which would later become the Czech Republic.
Hungary:
The People of Hungary were predecessors of a Hungarian speaking people called the Szeklers who would later integrate themselves with the Magyars. These two disparate cultures unified under one banner and led their people to the land that is near the Carpathian Sea and the Ural Mountains ,Hungary.
Poland:
Poland was originally occupied by the Slavic Tribes that inhabited Eastern Europe, as they were the predecessors of many other countries in Eastern Europe. These Slavic Tribesmen united with many other ethnic groups and created the Piast Dynasty the first historical dynasty of Poland.
Republic of Moldova: Unlike most Eastern European countries, Moldova predecessors were the people of Dacia who were based in the Ural mountains. The land of Moldova was invaded many times due to its strategic location therefore resulting in the myriad number of ethnic populations. The Dacia people and many other ethnic groups banded and created the Duchy of Moldova effectively the beginning of the Republic of Moldova.
Romania: The Land of Romania was originally based upon the land of Dacia, who were inhabited by the indigenous people of Dacia. This land woud later come to be conquered by the Roman Empire and made a vassal state. After the Roman conquest the local populace would be divided into three sub-regions in the country each a kingdom: Moldovia, Wallachia, and Translyvania.
Russia: Russia was first inhabited by the native slavic tribes that dotted the great expanse of land that would be called Russia. The first major Russian empire created was the first Kievan Rus empire created in the tenth century as the people of Russia binded together creating the first kingdom in the land.
Slovakia: The land of Slovakia was originally settled by the Celtic people in 500 B.C. however the Roman empire intervened and disrupted these germanic tribes. The germanic tribes were driven out hpwever the land was once again settled by neighboring slavic tribes which would later from to become Great Moravia in Slovakia.
Ukraine: The land of Ukraine was originally inhabited by the local slavic tribes that made up the area, however with the creation of the first Kievan Rus empire in the tenth century, Ukraine became a vassal state of Russia, leading up till the dissolution of the Soviet Union where it was granted independence.
